About Me
Bob has been with MHT since 1984, joining the company his late father, Robert F. Miller, started in 1970. Miller, Hansen & Torphy, Inc. evolved from the Vincent D. Miller Company, which was started by Bob’s grandfather in 1927 and began as a combined Real Estate and Insurance business. Bob is a native Washingtonian with family roots going back four generations. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1972 and also served in the United States Marine Corps., and was honorably discharged from both. After his military service, Bob was a Swimming Instructor at the University of Washington, a Ski Instructor with several ski schools here in Washington, and a Big Brother with the King County Big Brother/Little Brother Association. For several years, Bob was on the Board of Directors for World Financial News Network. A lifelong Husky fan, Bob lives in Snohomish with his wife, Michele, and their two dogs.
